Apple Royal Gala

Most apples are similar in nutrient content. A large Gala apple offers many health benefits. Apples are in season in the summer and fall, but are sold year-round in most supermarkets. Gala apples typically arrive in stores in August and are red-orange with yellow stripes.

Gala is a clonally propagated apple cultivar with a mild and sweet flavor. Gala apples ranked at number 2 in 2006 on the US Apple Association's list of most popular apples, after Red Delicious and before Golden Delicious, Granny Smith, and Fuji (in order). The skin color of the fruit is non-uniform. On average you will get between 6 to 12 bushels of Gala Apples when your tree is mature. Gala Apple Trees are adaptable and easy to grow. Yours will quickly mature to an ideal height of up to 15 feet and have a full, oval shape - making it an attractive yard tree as well
